Hypafix Dressing Retention Tape by BSN Medical is used to hold the primary dressing onto the wound site and is recommended for areas of the body requiring flexibility. The stretchable, soft, non-woven polyester material of Hypafix tape allows it to conform to the body without bunching up, causing constrictions or congestion. The water-resistant feature of this Hypafix tape allows it to stay securely adhered and is excellent for protecting insulin pumps and glucose monitoring systems. Hypafix tape is often used to attach catheters, enteral tubes, and other drainage lines. Hypafix tape shields against bacteria and allows enough moisture to aid in a faster healing time.
